YARDLEY, PA - December 3, 2007 - MediMedia Animal Health announced today that it has acquired VetInsite, Inc., a leading animal health communications company that specializes in strategic communications between veterinary hospitals and their clients. VetInsite will join MediMedia Animal Health as an independently managed center of excellence in the area of veterinary hospital-client communications.

Peter S. Glassman, DVM, founded VetInsite in April 2000 with the goal of providing veterinarians with new ways to offer their clients 24/7 convenience and to help grow their businesses by staying connected with their clients outside the exam room.

"VetInsite is honored to become part of MediMedia USA," said Dr. Glassman. "Within their framework, VetInsite will have an enhanced ability to improve pet health and meet the needs of the veterinary community by drawing upon the depth of communications resources that MediMedia adds. It will allow VetInsite to strengthen the depth and breadth of our Pet Portal® service to clients and make VetInsite an even more rewarding place to work."

Through its Veterinary Learning Systems (VLS) business unit, MediMedia Animal Health has been a leader for 30 years in providing veterinary professionals with continuing education through its elite publications and custom communication offerings. "The goal of VLS has always been to aid veterinary professionals in their mission to provide outstanding patient care," said Derrick Kraemer, president of MediMedia Animal Health. "We believe that the best animal healthcare does not always occur in a hospital's exam room and that the addition of VetInsite and its hospital communications product will enable veterinarians to live up to their mission by allowing them to care for their patients every day-in the exam room or at home."

Pet Portals are an automatic communication service imbedded into a hospital's website that makes it easy to strengthen client relationships, improve compliance, and increase practice revenue. Pet Portals work in conjunction with a hospital's existing practice management software to automatically create personalized, private web pages for each hospital client.

"MediMedia USA is committed not only to human healthcare but also to the ever- growing bond that humans have with their pets and their pets' health," said Bill Mulderry, group president of MediMedia USA's Pharmaceutical Group Division. "VetInsite will add incremental expertise in an area that significantly expands the ability of MediMedia to further this mission."

VetInsite will remain at its current location in Silver Spring, MD.
